The Canadian Aerial Applicators Association relies heavily on the efforts of volunteers and a reliable, dedicated staff to manage all that goes into operations and financial stability of the organization. Our team has been providing support to the CAAA since 1995. For over 25 years, ManageWise has built and shaped our infrastructure by learning what works best for the CAAA and has shaped who we are today.
We are a small office located in Edmonton, AB, made up of a team that specializes in different areas of association management. Get to know the familiar faces that you may have spotted at a conference and those that work hard behind the scenes.
Shara Tardif, Executive Director
Shara Tardif has had the pleasure of being the CAAA Executive Director since 2018. When Shara is not busy running double-time working with the Board of Directors and stakeholders, she can be found in the mountains hiking or skiing, or riding her bike on the Edmonton river valley, or driving her kids to their many activities!
Shara believes in working hard and playing harder! This attitude has brought her around the world seeking adventure from hiking the Great Wall of China, climbing volcanos in Iceland, to touring the high altitudes of Machu Picchu. Next stop…Savannah!

Shauna Prokopchuk, Association Manager
Shauna Prokopchuk is an Association Manager that has been with ManageWise, and the CAAA for over 13 years. Over the years, she has worked on all facets of the association from member services, Board support, communications, social media, web development, finances…you name it, she’s probably worked on it. Chances are if you have a question, she can find you the answer. Shauna has attended every CAAA and AAAA’s conference since Kananaskis in 2008.
When not working away, you can find her in the mountains, binge watching teen dramedies with her daughter, or winning at crib.
Tamara Hudson, Event Coordinator
Since 2012, Tamara Hudson has been working with the CAAA as the Event Coordinator.
She enjoys seeing the members come together at the annual conference especially during the banquet and live auction. You just never know what will happen!
At home she is kept busy by her two year old son, Parker.

Thaya Karuna, Financial Manager/Accountant
Thaya Karuna is a professional bookkeeper with over 20 years of experience, 7 of those are with CAAA.
She loves to crunch numbers everyday and is very passionate about accounting and bookkeeping. Her magic creates superb financial reports daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
She is very much family oriented and loves road trips and vacations with her hubby, Gajen, and son, Kaiden.
Sharron Theuerkauf, Receptionist/Office Administrator
Sharron Theuerkauf is an “EE” fan (love the green and gold!) and an Oiler’s fan and has been a member of our unit for an amazing 6 years.
She’s our super-duper door keeper and phone answerer extraordinaire, the first person you see when you drop by our office, and also the last one when you leave.
She works behind the scenes keeping our office in tip-top shape sending out prizes, swag, and newsletters. Sharron also takes the liberty of supplying the team with many tasty treats to keep us fueled for our day!

Candace Layne, Membership Specialist & Financial Assistant
Candace Layne is a Membership Specialist and a Financial Assistant with over 20 years of experience who loves answering your questions and taking your money.
When she’s not working you will find her curled up reading a book or taking her child, Carson, to football practice.
Janis Avellana, Marketing Communications Manager
Janis Avellana is a marketing specialist with over 12 years of experience who gets a kick out of helping people elevate their brand in an impactful and meaningful way.
You may remember her from the past 4 (in-person) CAAA conferences and most memorably, the AAAA conference where she was blessed with the opportunity to bring her trusty side-kick and senior ‘barketer’, Gio, to come and help chew on some equipment.
On a good day, you will most likely find her surrounded by many animals intently watching Janis, and her son, Leo, making crafts and drooling over fresh baked treats.
